Beyonce may be Queen Bee but that doesn’t mean she Runs the World.
According to TMZ, the pop superstar, who is currently expecting twins, filed an application to own the name "Blue Ivy Carter" for a wide range of products including cosmetics, mobile devices, and video games.
However, according to Blue Ivy, an event-planning firm, Beyonce has no right to trademark her daughter's name for a bunch of different products.
The company was in business for three years before Jay Z and Beyonce's daughter, and their first child together, was born. Blue Ivy Co. points out Jay is on record as saying that they have no intention of actually selling any product, but are trying to block others from doing so.
Blue Ivy (the company) has filed documents to prevent the couple from getting the trademark. Moreover, it would seem this isn’t the first time Beyonce has tried to ‘pull a fast one.’ She initially tried to get the trademark "Blue Ivy" without "Carter."
