We chatted with the creators of the film, which hits Irish cinemas from today
'Bob's Burgers' has been a hit since it hit our screens in 2011, with the show becoming a comfort watch for many and has enjoyed a major online fandom.
We chatted with the film's directors, Loren Bouchard, Bernard Derriman and screenwriter Nora Smith about how they adapted the show for the big screen, making a film that wasn't just for the fans, and how the Covid-19 pandemic impacted production.
The film has an Irish connection - some of the animation work on the film was done in Kilkenny by Lighthouse Studios.
Lighthouse Studios is an independent Irish animation company born of Mercury and Cartoon Saloon.
Our review of the film said the finished product was a winning comedy that appeals to fans and non-fans alike, and the animation style of the film is truly beautiful.
