Zayn Malik, the former member of One Direction who unceremoniously left the boyband earlier this year, has released his first solo single.

While it's not an official release, it's the first time that a full track by Malik has been heard.

It was uploaded yesterday by Mic Righteous, a British rapper who also features on the track, and it's a cover of the song 'No Type', originally recorded by Rae Sremmurd,  a US hip-hop duo from Mississippi who released the track themselves last year. It's believed that the track may have been recorded months ago - possibly before Malik even left 1D, in fact - but it's definitely him singing on it.

In any case, Zayn's buddy Naughty Boy isn't impressed with Mic Righteous stealing his thunder and 'leaking' the song and claimed that the song had been 'stolen from a hard drive'.
