It's reunion central this week. After news surfacing on Monday that a Westlife reunion may be in the works, the story is now gathering even more steam with rumours that a Croke Park gig will be kicking the tour off next year.
The Irish Sun has said that the band will return to where they played their final gig seven years ago, "early next summer", but that a fly-on-the-wall TV documentary that was originally planned won't be going ahead anymore. Brian McFadden will reportedly not be involved in any aspect of the reunion, should it officially be announced soon.
Since Robbie Williams has stolen his chair on the 'X Factor' these days, Louis Walsh seems to be the mastermind of the reunion buzz. It makes sense really that Louis would be behind it all - the lads are all Irish; they look like pop stars; and they sing even sing like pop stars (not forgetting the massive fanbase already in place).
Another bit of juicy gossip on the street this week was that Ed Sheeran is apparently penning Westlife's comeback track. Sheeran also co-wrote Boyzone's comeback track 'Because', which was released earlier this year. Sheeran must be making an absolute mint from all of these reuniting/disbanding Irish bands.
