We already know that Barack Obama is a Kendrick Lamar fan, after he named one of the rapper's tracks his favourite song of 2015.
Now, the pair have teamed up to discuss the importance of youth mentorship in today's society.
Compton native Lamar travelled to The White House to meet the POTUS and footage of their encounter was used for a short clip by Lamar's Top Dawg Entertainment company, in order to highlight the importance of youth mentors in his own life as a child. "Sometimes I reflect to think back where would I be if I didn't have a presence of an older acquaintance telling me what's right and what's wrong, telling me the pros and cons of every move I was about to make, telling me then best way to plan success for my future," he said.
Can we expect a musical collaboration once Obama vacates his office?
