This trio from Oxford have always been less famous for their music than for the fact that singer Andy Yorke is the younger brother of Thom from Radiohead. It's a shame because their low-key, guitar/piano pop deserves far more attention. This, their second album, is mostly made up of delicate, fragile ballads which to the casual listener might sound hopelessly ineffectual. Closer attention, however, reveals plenty of subtlety in the carefully constructed arrangements and thoughtful, introspective lyrics. Well worth investigating.
