Are The Stone Roses about to announce their first new album in 21 years today?
The rumor mill is going berserk this afternoon with the news that an announcement related to the Manchester indie band is imminent, and that it could be that Ian Brown and co. are releasing a new album and going on tour.
The band reformed for a series of gigs in 2012 - including one at Dublin's Phoenix Park - but have not recorded any new material - that we know of.
That could all change as a number of posters featuring their iconic lemon logo have been seen in shop windows around Manchester city centre, and various musicians have been tweeting cryptic references to '16 lemons'.
The band's last album was 1994's 'Second Coming'.
16 lemons?
