A blog has appeared on The Who's website claiming that their recent set at Glastonbury was "sabotaged" in terms of the sound quality.
Guitarist Pete Townshend had previously expressed his irritation over the lack of a soundcheck during the band's set, but now a blog has been penned - reportedly by "a member of the band's crew who often plays keyboards on stage", according to NME.com - alleging that someone had tried to unplug some of their gig during the changeover.
"As we began to prepare our coming changeover, we found someone had sabotaged the carefully-tested audio connections for much of our gear," it said. "We’ve never seen that before, but we’re good at plugging things in, so all damage was repaired in time. Was it Mr. Weller or Lionel, no way. Dalai Lama – hmmm…. he did steal the show already."
The blogger also claimed that the band stepped in last month in place of Prince, who "decided not to come this year."
