Electric Picnic have released the batch of names tasked with making your belly ache and your sides split, as details of this year's comedy stage have been released.

Topping the bill this year will be the brilliant Simon Amstell (he of Never Mind The Buzzcocks fame), our own David O'Doherty and Brighton comic Sean Walsh. Amstell will make his debut Picnic appearance this year, bringing with him a resume which includes BAFTA nominations, top-selling live DVDs and the dubious honour of having Preston from The Ordinary Boys walk off of his show.

If Amstell will make his bow this year, David O'Doherty is practically part of the furniture in Stradbally. The Dubliner will bring his new show to the rolling lawns of Stradbally to the delight of his legion of fans. Expect the usual mix of lo-fi musical charm and beautifully crafted one-liners from the crown prince of mildly cool.

Brighton’s Seann Walsh is the most frighteningly precocious talent to emerge from the UK comedy scene in years. Following his appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, this hilarious comic has sold out shows all over the world and is another making a much anticipated Festival debut.

Other names this year include:
