A report in Rolling Stone suggests that both Coldplay and Adele will release their new albums this autumn.
The feature, entitled 'Must-Hear Fall Albums', listed both artists as releasing material before the end of the year and it has been since confirmed that Adele will release her third album at the end of November, according to Billboard.
Coldplay's last album was last year's 'Ghost Stories', but Adele's third album is one of the most anticipated releases ever, after 2011's '21' became one of the best-selling albums of all time.
The follow-up's title has been long-rumoured as '25' after she tweeted on her 26th birthday in May 2014: 'Bye bye 25… see you again later in the year.' The release of the album was later confirmed to have been pushed back, with most assuming that it would be released in 2015 - although the notoriously private singer has been mostly quiet this year.
Earlier this summer, she took to Twitter in a rare burst of social media activity to post a picture of herself with Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks:
So...tonight was THE best night of my life. I love you Stevie Nicks!! The queen of melodies! Thanks for everything x pic.twitter.com/OKukHIpiV4
