Lil Wayne has been no stranger to the long arm of the law over the course of his 33 years, and now the rapper is set to publish his memoirs on the time he spent incarcerated.
'Gone Til November' will see the New Orleans-born rapper write about his time spent at Rikers Island prison in 2010, after he was sentenced to a year for attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He served 8 months of the sentence.
It'll be published by Penguin on October 11th, who describe it as "a deeply personal and revealing account of his time spent incarcerated”.
Last year, TMZ leaked an excerpt from the book when it was being shopped around to potential publishers, which saw Wayne - real name Dwayne Carter III - discuss how his fellow rapper Drake visited him in prison to confirm that he slept with his girlfriend.
It read: "This is the type of s*** that a man never wants to find out when he's locked up. Or, maybe so, cause only God knows what I would have done if I wasn't locked up right now."
During his time in prison, Lil Wayne also reportedly wrote an album titled 'Devol' - although that has yet to see the light of day.
