Radiohead released their ninth studio album last night, having given fans just two days' notice with the announcement being made on Friday.
It's called 'A Moon Shaped Pool' and is the quintet's first album in five years.
The album is available only as a download for the moment, with a CD and LP version to follow on Friday, June 17th and a special edition in September with two bonus tracks. It's not on Spotify yet, despite both songs released last week being on the streaming service - but according to Spotify, they're working on it.
Considering Radiohead are a pretty big band, the Internet was in a bit of a tizzy once the record hit the digital shelves.
The general reaction is a positive one (read our review here) - but you can get a flavour of the consensus below:
Was listening to the new Radiohead album on headphones as I took out the trash and I just kept walking and I'm deep in the forest now.

It's the closest we're gonna get to Radiohead kickin' out the jams these days, but I'll take it.

Apologies, non-fans, but I'm not going to shut up about the new #Radiohead album for quite some time. Welling up at how good it is.

Wow. A Moon Shaped Pool is amazing. It's the most Radiohead thing ever Radiohead'd. Even bits of each artist's solo stuff come through

This Radiohead album is a sheer delight.

This new @radiohead record sounds like one of their guys has been scoring a crap ton of films or something.
