Last month, a dad's note for his 12-year-old daughter being late to school went viral, after he explained that the reason for her tardiness was because she was at a Bruce Springsteen gig and "darned if he didn't play for three-and-a-half-hours."
Now, a 9-year-old kid and his dad have gone one better and actually got Springsteen himself to write a note for his teacher.
4th grader Xabi Glovsky and his dad Scott were at The Boss's LA show last week, and Xabi held up a sign saying "Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note."
Springsteen promptly invited the pair backstage after the show, posed for photos and wrote the note, which Scott posted to Twitter (below). It read: "Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking & rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy."
What a guy.
Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi's tardy note for school tomorrow. He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is! pic.twitter.com/mmTlxjFveG
