Neil Young is no stranger to our shores, having most recently played Ireland with his backing band Crazy Horse in 2013.
Now, the musician is swapping Crazy Horse for Promise of the Real, the band led by Lukas and Micah Nelson - sons of Willie Nelson.
Promise of the Real backed Young on his most recent album The Monsanto Years, and it seems the relationship was fruitful enough to continue for a tour, which wound up its first leg in October. Many of the shows lasted for three hours and the set lists included both old and new songs.
They'll go back on the road next year to include a date at Dublin's 3Arena on June 8th, and Belfast's SSE Arena on June 7th. It will be the first time that Young has ever played Belfast.
Tickets for both dates are on sale this Friday at 9am from usual outlets.
