With Ryan Adams's cover album of Taylor Swift's '1989' finally being released yesterday after weeks of teasers and previews, both musicians guested on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music yesterday to discuss the project.
During their mutual love-in, they also revealed that they have already worked together at Adams's Pax AM studios in Los Angeles.
Swift named her favourites from Adams's covers collection as 'Blank Space' and 'How You Get the Girl', saying "They’re not cover songs. They’re reimaginings of my songs, and you can tell that he was in a different place emotionally than I was. There’s this beautiful aching sadness and longing in this album that doesn’t exist in the original."
Adams also revealed that he had finished his next studio record, which is a double album and "the most fragile thing" he's done to date.
