In a statement which makes us think that he's never actually heard his own music X-Factor alum James Arthur has hit out at this year's Glastonbury acts, calling them "mediocre".
Apparently this year's Glasto bands Arcade Fire, Metallica, Kasabian, Jack White, Elbow, Robert Plant, Lana Del Rey, Pixies, Disclosure, Jurassic 5 (and so on) aren't established enough for an artist of James Arthur's magnitude.
The singer tweeted on his official account that it was "especially sad" that he wasn't playing this year "when you see how mediocre some of these acts are live!! #verybitter". This tweet was deleted from his timeline shortly after posting.
James Arthur recently became the latest artist to be thrown on the X-Factor scrapheap after Simon Cowell cut the singer from his Syco record label, presumably to make room for the latest teenage starlet on the reality TV show's assembly line. Too bad though, we've got a soft spot for Mr Arthur's bizarre outbursts on social media, such as the one you see below.
It's been real, James.
Its sad that I'll probably never play Glastonbury because of the format I was discovered.. Has anyone from xfactor ever played it?
