Hozier's steady ascent to superstardom has continued today as the Wicklow man has been announced as the musical guest on an upcoming edition of Saturday Night Live.

Now in its 39th year, Saturday Night Live is a television institution in the United States and pulls in viewers in their millions each week - an ideal platform for Hozier to showcase his soon-to-be-released debut album. SNL consistently features the hottest musical acts on each show with artists featured on the last season alone including Coldplay, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams.

Hozier joins actor Bill Hader, who for eight seasons was a member of the cast of SNL and who will return to host the show on October 11th episode.
