It's been five long years since Vampire Weekend's last album, but it seems that the New Yorkers are finally on the comeback trail as they hit several festival this summer.
The band played Japan's Fuji Rock festival over the weekend, and at one point covered Irish rock classic, Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back in Town', with a little help from Danielle Haim.
To their credit, they make a fair fist of it, too. Philo would no doubt be amused, if not proud.
They also performed Dusty Springfield's 'Son of a Preacher Man' and Vampire Weekend's own song 'Obvious Bicyle' together. Is this the beginning of a beautiful collaboration?
