It's been quite a few years since there's been a festival held at Fairyhouse Racecourse, but that'll soon change with the addition of Rockathon to the summer gig calendar.
Rockathon is a one-day festival that'll take place at the Co. Meath site on September 5th, seeing nine rock acts paying tribute to acts like Guns 'n' Roses, Thin Lizzy, Nirvana, Bob Dylan and more.
There will be two stages - one indoor and one outdoor - and the programme will run from midday to midnight.
Playing on the day will be:
Guns 2 Roses (Guns 'n' Roses tribute)
Dizzy Lizzy (Thin Lizzy tribute)
Are You Experienced? (Jimi Hendrix tribute)
Whole Lotta Voltage (AC/DC tribute)
The Stones (Rolling Stones tribute)
There will also be tribute acts playing the songs of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, and Bob Dylan.
Tickets are €34.50 including booking fee, and on sale from usual outlets now.
