It's a reasonable guess that Grand Drive have a few Gram Parsons records in their collection; their brand of gentle, psychedelic Americana sounds as if it could have been recorded at any time during the past 40 years. Built around the Everly-style harmonies of brothers Danny and Julian Wilson, and bolstered by understated melodies and Hammond organ, these are pleasantly sad tales of loss for broken-hearted cowboys everywhere. It's enjoyable stuff, but ultimately let down by a slightly ponderous style of songwriting and a shortage of memorable tunes.
