Is there no end to the stream of fine albums flowing from the Glasgow indie scene? This latest gem comes from the maverick Sushil K Dade, who has brought his Indian musical heritage to bear in a series of collaborations with the usual Scottish suspects: Bell and Sebastian, the Pastels, Teenage Fanclub etc. The resulting album, recorded at lightning speed, is as diverse as you would expect, ranging from spiritual chants to sunny guitar pop. Occasionally it errs on the side of self-indulgence but for the most part this is an intriguing and rewarding collection of musical experiments.
