If you're a Foo Fighters fan - and even if you're not - you might be aware of the 'Sonic Highways' documentary that was made by Dave Grohl and co. and released last year.
The eight-part series was made for US TV network HBO and charted the history of eight iconic recording studios in eight different US cities, from Seattle to New York. It also inspired the making of the rock band's album of the same name, with each of its eight tracks inspired by each city's musical heritage.
If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, Dublin venue The Grand Social will screen the documentary across eight weeks, beginning on April 11th. It coincides with the doc's release on DVD on April 3rd, but y'know, sometimes communal viewings are more enjoyable.
What's more, there'll be Foo Fighters-related giveaways at each screening, from vinyls to tickets for their upcoming gig at Slane on May 30th.
The screenings are free and take place from 7pm each night. The schedule is as below:
Episode 1 – Chicago | April 11th
Episode 2 – Washington D.C | April 18th
Episode 3 – Nashville | April 25th
Episode 4 – Austin | May 2nd
Episode 5 – Los Angeles | May 9th
Episode 6 – New Orleans | May 16th
Episode 7 – Seattle | May 23rd
Episode 8 – New York | May 29th
