They're scoring films now, but it looks like Daft Punk are getting a film of their own very shortly.
An upcoming film entitled Eden will chart the rise of French electro in the 1990's and has the approval and backing of Daft Punk, or as they're known to their mothers, Guy de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.
The film will take in characters from the French electro scene, including Daft Punk's early era, Sven Love and possibly even Frankie Knuckles.
Daft Punk have agreed to allow three of their songs appear on the soundtrack, but will not be cameoing in the film itself.
Eden premieres at the Toronto Film Festival next month and will star Frances Ha's Greta Gerwig, Felix De Givry, Arnaund Azolay and Vincent Lacoste.
Any excuse to play early Daft Punk classics, really.
