We were just thinking that it's been a while since there's been a decent, good ol' fashioned band rivalry - and with even Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn being chums these days and Liam Gallagher declaring Blur's 'Lonesome Street' as his song of the year, the Battle of Britpop seems like a distant memory.
However, the comments made by Blur bassist Alex James in a new interview - although seemingly well-intentioned - might fan the flames once more.
"Liam's come out and said ‘Lonesome Street’ is his favourite song of the year, God bless him. And Damon and Noel are quite good friends now," he said. "So, I think, let's focus on the positives. It's lovely that it's got a happy ending. I hope they get back together. They can support us."
Not sure that would go down too well with the Brothers Gallagher, but we're certainly on board...
