Oviawe is best-known for her role on TV series 'The Young Offenders'
Demi Isaac Oviawe is a Nigerian-born Irish actress who hails from Mallow in Co Cork. She is best-known for her role in TV series 'The Young Offenders.' At eighteen, she is the youngest ever contestant on 'Dancing With the Stars'.
'The Young Offenders' is an RTE/BBC-produced comedy series that follows teenagers Conor MacSweeney (Alex Murphy) and Jock O'Keefe (Chris Walley) from Cork as they get up to all sorts of misadventures.
In the series, Oviawe's character, Linda, and Conor are in a relationship. She is daughter to Conor and Jock's principal Barry (P. J. Gallagher) and sister to Siobhan (Jennifer Barry).
Oviawe will return with the rest of the cast for season 2. She also starred in the show's Christmas special last December.
Demi has spoken openly about studying for her Leaving Cert while competing on 'Dancing With the Stars'. She has also opened up about wanting to make her parents, who had both passed away by the time she was 15, proud.
Her 'Dancing with the Stars' professional partner is Kai Widdrington. Kai is a former World Junior Latin American champion and choreographer. In 2012 the English dancer reached the final of the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent.
In 2017's edition of 'Dancing with the Stars', Widdrington was partnered with comedian Katherine Lynch. Last year, he danced with camogie player, Anna Geary, and the pair reached the final.
Good luck Demi and Kai in the competition!
