Natasha Rothwell confirmed that the next season will be filmed in 2024
Although it was recently revealed that we're going to be waiting longer for Season 3 of 'The White Lotus' than any of us would like, one cast member has breadcrumbed some details.
Although it's inevitable that we'll see some familiar faces in the third season, the only actress confirmed so far has been Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Belinda Lindsey in Season 1. You may remember her as the woman who was besieged by empty promises from Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) who told her that she was going to invest in her business.
Rothwell is currently starring in 'Wonka', and teased some new info on the next season of 'The White Lotus' - which will be set in Thailand - while on the red carpet at 'Wonka''s Los Angeles premiere last night.
"I’ve read all the scripts and I can’t say anything," she said, "but I will say it’s going to blow people’s minds. I gasped out loud no less than five times and that was just reading them, so people are in for a treat."
Although Rothwell would not be drawn on when exactly the next season starts shooting, she did confirm that it is "definitely in the next calendar year."
Season 3, according to the show's writer Mike White, will deal with "death and Eastern religion and spirituality" - so maybe Belinda managed to get her own business up and running after all.
"It’s going to be a supersized ‘White Lotus','' White told EW. "It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season."
