We're big fans of Moone Boy here in entertainment towers, so imagine how excited we were when we read that Chris O'Dowd is writing Terry Wogan into the series.
As per IFTN, O'Dowd, who will be directing episodes of the show's third series, has written a part specifically for the Limerick native. We aren't quite sure that Terry will actually be starring in the show just yet, but if Chris is offering, we hope he says yes.
If Terry joins the cast for Season 3 (which is due to start filming later this year), he'll be following in the footsteps of Amy Huberman, Bressie and Pat Shortt, who are all joining the cast for Season 2. Word on the street is that it will focus on Martin's transition to secondary school, and his crush on his teacher Miss Tivnan (Huberman). The lad won't stop there though, moving on to Traveller Majella, who takes up residence next to the Moone home. And of course the whole thing will be set against the backdrop of Italia 90. What a summer that was, eh?
Hands up who remembers Schillaci?
