He may have become a household name as one of the five 'chasers' on ITV's The Chase, but it turns out Mark Labbett was honing his general knowledge craft long beforehand on another massively popular TV game show.
A clip has recently surfaced of Labbett appearing as a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire in 2006.
Labbett, who's been nicknamed 'The Beast' on The Chase, came away with £32,000 from his appearance on the show which is not a bad performance by anyone's standards. He also shared some tidbits about his career as a schoolteacher (@12.00) and how much he enjoyed it before admitting that he would quit his job straight away if he'd won the top prize.
Speaking of The Chase, host Bradley Walsh released his debut album this year, and it knocked an ex-One Directioner off the top of the best selling British debut albums list.
