By now we all know and love a good Simpsons couch gag, but there's no doubting that this is one of the weirdest ones yet.
The premiere of the 26th season of The Simpsons recently started with the episode 'Clown in the Dumps', but the first thing that most viewers saw was a strange couch gag that left a lot of people scratching their heads.
The gag imagines what it would be like if the family travelled far, far in to the future, as the show is still going in the year 10,535. In case you haven't seen it, feast your eyes on the weirdness below.
As it turns out, it comes from the mind of Oscar-nominated animator and Simpsons fan Don Hertzfeldt, whose YouTube channel contains a few of his other pieces of work, which are equally strange.
It's definitely bizarre, but it also will give Hertzfeldt a much bigger audience for his strange and wonderful shorts, that is if you liked the couch gag, of course.
