His latest TV offering, Derek, may be coming to an end on Channel 4 soon, but that doesn't mean Ricky Gervais is disappearing off our screens any time soon. In fact, that comedian is bringing back his beloved Office character David Brent for a Comic Relief special.
The Office Revisited hits our screens on March 15th, and sees Brent making a name for himself in new circles. Yep, he's decided he's a talent manager and is making, err, waves in the music industry with urban solo artist Dom Johnson.A bit of door-to-door selling helps Brent pay the bills while he's living his dream. "I thought it was time to revisit my most famous comedy creation to find out what he's been up to for the last decade and, most importantly, what he's up to now," Gervais told The Sun.
"He is passing on his wisdom to younger would-be rock stars now. Well, really he is trying to worm his way back into rock and roll. Fans of The Office will be excited to know we finally get to hear the whole of 'The Serpent Who Guards the Gates of Hell' and an amazing Brent self-funded video 'Equality Street'. Horrendous."
Much and all as we loved Mr Brent, Tim and Dawn really stole the show for us. That didn't stop us enjoying that infamous dance though...
See Gervais back in action on BBC One on March 15th.
