After a turbulent year in the spotlight, Michael Le Vell has temporarily returned to the cobbles to reprise his role as Kevin Webster. There had been talk all week of his arrival, and this coming Friday, we will see him in the flesh after more than a year away from the soap.
Previous to that, the actor had played car mechanic Kevin Webster for almost thirty years. He was suspended from the soap in 2013 due to allegations of sexual offences, which he has since been fully cleared of. His disappearance in the soap was explained by saying he was gone to look after his dad Bill. His return though is not set to be for long, as he is said to be taking a career break for personal reasons.
The video below shows him rocking up with his son Jack in tow, but never mind all that - he has a NEW JACKET! Kevin's purple bomber jacket is even older than Hayley's red coat, even older than Bianca's silver jacket in EastEnders, they say it came from biblical times. And he wore it day in, day out, with the possible exception of his wedding day. However, it looks like it's officially taken its retirement.
You can watch the video below as Kev meets some old familiar faces, which will be aired this coming Friday March 21st.
