She also claimed she's "not fake, this isn't an act," and that we haven't seen the last of her.
Appearing on This Morning, Honey G told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that: "Before I entered The X Factor, I'd never done a live rap gig ever.
"I've never performed as a rap artist. So you know, from that point up until now, I feel a rap artist has been born. I've grown as an artist throughout the competition, and I've seen my potential."
That clearly riled Schofield, who pressed her on whether or not she was the real deal, to asking: "If you've never done it before and at an X Factor audition was the first time, who were you before?", to which she replied: "I have been rapping - I've been a musician the whole of my life. I've been posting all my tracks and recordings on my SoundCloud page, so I've been rapping for five years and producing music and recording in the studio."
Honey G also revealed the origins of her name, which came about in university via a friend who took the first letter of her surname and "the Honey is because [he said] 'You're sweet like honey' so...".
Now we all know who we have to blame. Someone find a T-800 and a time machine.
