Get ready to see Rihanna on big screens and smaller ones a lot more in the next 12 months as she makes her presence felt in various film and TV projects, one of which is very exciting.

RiRi is checking in to 'Bates Motel' for the show's final season and taking on the iconic role of Marion Crane, made famous by Janet Leigh in the original film, who becomes the catalyst for Norman Bates eventual downfall.

Rihanna announced her involvement in the show's final season last July via Twitter, saying: "I'm about to check into the Bates Motel very soon and guess what else? Guess who's playing Marion?"

Some might call it stunt-casting but honestly, if you're going to go big and recreate one of the most legendary scenes in film history, you may as well get one of the most famous women on the planet to do it.
