Forget Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan (Scott and Charlene forever), there's another Neighbour making his way into the music charts with a new Christmas single that was indeed written especially for him.
Alan Fletcher, aka Karl Kennedy, has only gone and and teamed up with Tim Smith, a vocal coach and musician, to pen a brand new Christmas song for charity. What a man eh?
If You Want a Happy Christmas, which 'Dr Fletcher' performs with a rather talented bunch of Aussie lasses known as the Southern Belles, is described as a 'swing style' tune and it certainly had us tapping our toes here in the office. T'is a long way from the fiasco that was ITV's Soapstar Superstar that this lad has come. It also features a few Neighbours cameos too, with the likes of Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Chris Milligan (Kyle Canning) and James Mason (Chris Pappas) popping up in the music video.
And sure aren't all of Alan's profits from the track going to Blue September, in the hopes to raising awareness of and funding research into men's health and cancers affecting men.
We only have one question for you Al: Why isn't Susan Kennedy in the video too eh? She'd have made one sassy Mrs Claus.
