Want something scarier than one two-hour adaptation of Stephen King's 'TheĀ Mist'? How about 10 hour-long episodes to terrify you before bed? That enough?

King's work is having a bit of a moment of late, with 'It', 'Mr.Ā Mercedes', 'The DarkĀ Tower', '1922' and 'Gerald's Game' all getting the big/small screen treatment in coming months and today we get our first look at Spike TV's take on 'The Mist'.

Starring loads of people whose names you don't know but faces you do (bar maybe FrancesĀ Conroy of 'Six Feet Under' and 'AmericanĀ Horror Story' fame), it's pretty much the same story you know with a few new twists thrown in to keep you on your toes. But mostly expect to be horrified.

Here's the official synopsis:

Based on a story by Stephen King, Spikeā€™s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

'TheĀ Mist' debuts onĀ Spike TVĀ this June.
