Ed Sheeran won't be happy until he has infiltrated everything we know and love. As we learned last year, no programme is safe without a cameo from the singer, when he made his controversial appearance in the seventh season of Game of Thrones.
Sheeran has also previously turned up in Home and Away, Shortland Street, The Bastard Executioner, and now he has the TV cameo of all cameos on the way as he gets himself Simpsonized.
He is set to play a character called Brendan in a musical-themed episode of The Simpsons entitled 'Haw-Haw Land'. The synopsis of the episode reveals that Brendan will be in competition with Nelson Muntz to win over Lisa’s heart.

The show's producers had heard that Sheeran was a huge Simpsons fan, even sporting a tattoo of Blinky the three-eyed fish, and was interested in appearing on the show.
Al Jean previously told EW: "We had a perfect part for him. So we said, ‘Oh, great, we’ll have him do this!’ And we recorded him over the phone from England."
Let's just hope it goes down better than his stint as a Lannister.
