The sad news that Cilla Black passed away this weekend was felt by all, from those that knew her in her early days as a singer to those that grew up watching her present Blind Date and Surprise, Surprise.
Last year ITV made a three-part drama documenting Cilla Black's rise to fame in Liverpool, with actress Sheridan Smith in the lead role.
Black spoke about the series (called 'Cilla') after last year's BAFTA's where she was honoured with the BAFTA Special award. In the interview below she said; "My life is flashing before me. It's a great honour, as is getting the BAFTA, that somebody in your own lifetime plays you."
"Sheridan Smith is a BAFTA-winning actress herself and I feel so honoured and so pleased. And Jeff Pope did the script for Philomena, so what more can you ask?"
She then joked; "Maybe I should die next year."
Yep, weird 'ey?
