He's considered one of the most powerful men on the face of the planet, so you might be surprised to learn that Barack Obama sat down with Jay Leno for an extended chat on The Tonight Show this week.

The US President was in flying form as he joined the chat show host to talk about everything from embassy closures to his relationship with wife Michelle, Edward Snowden, and his bromance with former presidential rival John McCain. First up for discussion was Obama's recent birthday, and while talking grey hairs and growing old with Leno, he revealed the secret to his happy marriage.

Eventually, the pair got on to some more serious topics, and Barack told his side of the Snowden story. Jay didn't exactly take him to town on the topic, but it did still make for some interesting viewing.

That wasn't the only issue that got the President talking though. The pair discussed the recent developments in the Trayvon Martin case, and that controversial George Zimmerman verdict: Barack didn't hold back, and reiterated his statement that he too was Trayvon Martin, albeit 35 years ago.

If you want to catch the whole interview and you have about half an hour to spare, you can head on over to The Tonight Show's YouTube channel. Or y'know, just see what Barack had to say to Jimmy Fallon about the whole thing afterwards...
