Roll up Joss Whedon fans, the first full trailer for the Avengers director's new TV series has finally arrived and it's rather good, if we do say so ourselves. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is based on the elusive organisation from the Marvel comics (and movies) is due to drop in the USA later this year, and we're hoping they'll start showing it here quick sharp.
The new trailer for the show reveals that it will be set after the events of Avengers Assemble, and feature a very much alive Agent Steve Coulson. Seems he survived that little incident before the battle of New York, and now leads a team that deals with the rather strange cases S.H.I.E.L.D. just isn't prepared for.
Here's hoping the curse of Joss Whedon doesn't see the show getting cancelled before it can even kick off in earnest. Sure maybe Coulson will pop up in Avengers 2 after all...
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hits US TV screens this autumn with a European broadcast date yet to be confirmed.
