It won't be long now before Walter White and co disappear from our screens (sob), but as Breaking Bad comes to an end there's some exciting news. The show's creator, Vince Gilligan, will return to the Director's chair for the final installment of his incredibly successful series, and isn't he only going to go and write the episode too?
Funnily enough, this will only be the fifth time he's directed an episode of the show, which has been running for a whole five years now on AMC. Is it REALLY that long since Bryan Cranston stole our hearts and tore up our TV screens? Madness.
"I love directing, I just don't get to do it often" Gilligan told The Hollywood Reporter. We can only imagine. He's a very busy man these days don'cha know? But that didn't stop him from taking time to talk about the end of his beloved series.
"I'm sad, it's a very bittersweet thing. I'm very sad about it being over," he admitted. "There's always going to be somebody who says they wished it went a different way. But if it ends well, if it ends right, hopefully we're going to please the bulk of our viewers with this ending. We're going to leave it all on the field, I can tell you that."
We can't wait.
