What's the best thing to do with a movie that everybody can watch time and time again? Bate the living sh*t out of it until it can fit into a TV format is what! Paramount have just announced that both The Truman Show and Ghost will be adapted for TV, making them the first commissions of the company since Paramount Television was relaunched.

The Truman Show was released in 1998 and starred Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank, a man who - in summary - didn't know his life was in fact a reality TV show, causing us all to question our very existence, in a way that could only later be compared to the headfu*ck we all felt after watching The Matrix for the first time. The 90's wha'? You'd miss the conspiracy theories.

1990's Ghost on the other hand, told the tale of Patrick Swayze haunting Demi Moore... and Whoopi Goldberg was there, also a slightly terrifying subway dude. Oh and they really liked pottery.

It's not known when we can expect to see these new shows on the box, or how they'll even be translated into a world that's a couple decades on from when they were first debuted.

We'll have to wait this one out for now, in the mean time, here's a reminder of them!
