She may be the toast of Hollywood at the moment, but it took fourteen years for Patty Jenkins to get her second feature film released.
This is despite the fact that her debut feature contained an Oscar winning performance from Charlize Theron.
Jenkins certainly wasn't idle during those fourteen years though, as well as at one point being attached to direct Thor: The Dark World, she also spent some time directing for television and an Arrested Development fan has just noticed that she was calling the shots behind the camera for a classic season two episode.

You remember the 'Mayo-N-Egg' episode right? Or to give the correct episode title 'The One Where They Build a House'.
It was the first appearance in the series of Mae Whitman's Ann and featured this iconic father son moment between Michael (Jason Bateman) and George Michael (Michael Cera).
The episode also contained another great moment.

Jenkins herself seems to remember her time on the show quite fondly.
Loved working on this show. My favorite. @arresteddev @MitchHurwitz https://t.co/aGL6oBZGi8

Who would have thought that some Arrested Development directors would go on to direct some of the biggest superhero movies of all time?
So cool to see all the @arresteddev directors doing their comic book blockbusters! (Looking at you, Russo brothers!)

Let's all be grateful to Patty Jenkins for her contribution to popular culture.
Thank you for your part in that brilliant half hour of comedy!
