The horror series is being made for FX and will feature the NFL player
To say that Travis Kelce's fortunes have changed since he began dating a very famous pop star is understating the case.
This time last year, Kelce was an American football player known to only those who follow the NFL.
Now, thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift, he has become known all over the world - enjoying a profile boost that most little-known sportsplayers could only dream of.
Kelce, whose team the Kansas City Chiefs recently won the Super Bowl, had previously made an appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' last October and has also features in sketches with his brother Jason on the show.
He was also recently announced as the host of a revived US light entertainment gameshow, 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?' for Prime Video.
However, he'll make his acting debut proper after landing a role in the new horror series being made for FX by Ryan Murphy, the man behind the likes of 'American Horror Story', 'Glee', 'Dahmer' and more.
Kelce will star in 'Grotesquerie', although little is known about his role or even what the series is about. A recent cryptic teaser dropped by Murphy featured the voice of Niecy Nash-Betts, while revealing that Lesley Manville and Courtney B. Vance will also feature.
