The 'Game of Thrones' series finale is almost here
Yes, the 'Game of Thrones' series finale is almost upon us.
After nine years, 72 episodes, countless deaths, twists and turns, 'Game of Thrones' comes to a conclusion next Sunday night/Monday morning and what happens next is anyone's guess.
Whether we like said conclusion or not is still up in the air, as reactions to the final season and how everything has played out have been decidedly mixed and extreme on both sides (just log in to Twitter this morning for an example of people's very strong feelings).
But with only 80ish minutes of the show left to air, we're not exactly confident it's going to be satisfying.
Then again, what was it that series creator George R.R. Martin said a few years back (that Ramsay Bolton also quoted in the show)?
Oh yes.
"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." #GameOfThrones
