It seems the show will go on, well the live shows anyways as it's emerged that Jeremy Clarkson will rejoin his former Top Gear colleagues for a series of live shows that had already been arranged prior to his sacking.
The only things is, it won't be called Top Gear - they can't use any of the show's or the BBC's branding, nor can The Stig be involved.
The show will instead be called 'Clarkson, Hammond and May Live' and will take place across the UK, Australia, South Africa and Norway.
A BBC Worldwide spokesman said: "So as not to disappoint the thousands of people around the world who have already purchased tickets, BBC Worldwide has agreed with our joint venture partner Brand Events that the remainder of the tour can continue."
"These events will not, however, feature any BBC Top Gear branding or content. We believe this is a sensible approach in the circumstances."
The live show dates are:
22 - 24 May - Belfast
5 - 7 June - Sheffield
13 - 14 June - South Africa
20-21 June - Norway
28 - 29 November - London O2
We assure you that we have double and triple checked that this is not an April Fool's as it's the BBC themselves who are reporting it, and it would be kind of bad form to make something like this up... right??
