The Longford lady certainly caused a stir amongst the islanders

Well, she certainly knows how to make an entrance, we'll give her that.

Maura Higgins from Longford entered the 'Love Island' villa last night, joining Yewande as the second Irish islander on this year's show and by the looks of things, bringing the drama that it so desperately needs.

She chose Tommy, Danny and Michael as her first dates, asking each of them to prepare a course for their first meal together in the villa. It's safe to say that she and Tommy hit it off, despite his absolutely atrocious attempt at 'cooking' (which is a whole other story.)

Indeed, 'Maura' was trending on Twitter last night after the show (thankfully, 'fanny flutters' was not) and here's what people had to say about her...
