'Tina' lands on Sky on March 27th.
Although most people know of Tina Turner on screen from either 'What's Love Got To Do With It?' or her performance in 'Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome', there hasn't been a serious documentary on her life and career. Until now, that is.
The Oscar-winning documentary makers behind 'LA 92' and 'Undefeated' are taking on Tina Turner's life and career in 'Tina', a new documentary landing on Sky TV and HBO Max on March 27th.
Made up of hundreds of hours of never-before-seen footage, audio tapes, photos and interviews with the likes of Angela Bassett (who played Turner in 'What's Love Got To Do With It?'), Oprah Winfrey, as well as interviews with Turner and her husband, Erwin Bach, 'Tina' is described in the blurb as "an unvarnished and dynamic account" of her life and career.
Here's the teaser.
