The Night King's army has arrived at Winterfell
Dragons, crypts, and White Walkers, oh my! 'Game of Thrones' season eight's episode three is going to be harrowing to watch.
*Spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' episode two's 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' and potentially episode three ahead*
We can't wait for next week's episode - yet we just know we'll end up watching it through our fingers not able to enjoy what happens. There was a lot of foreshadowing going on in episode two. A lot of "last moments together". Who's going to kick the bucket? Who will survive? And will the Night King win the Battle of Winterfell?
Well, there are a couple of quite harrowing theories out there at the moment. Please bear in mind that these may be spoilers for next week's episode.
One such theory is by Reddit user u/qp0n. The theory goes that "When the army of the undead line up for the battle of Winterfell, the Night King and his zombie dragon will not be there. Instead he will already be near to his next target ... King's Landing."
The user says that it all links back to Bran's vision back in season four. Continuing the theory, they say "During season 4 while Bran is being ushered north to meet Bloodraven, he touches a wierwood and has a set of visions which we see. All of those visions have since come to pass, except the ones where he sees a destroyed throne room & a dragon shadow pass over King's Landing. I believe the reason we are only shown a shadow was to not give away that it is actually the NK and Viserion, not Dany and her dragons."
While interesting, and quite likely, it may not come to pass. The theory may have been debunked by what we see in the trailer for next week's episode three, with a shot of Viserion clearly being shown. However, we never caught a glimpse of the Night King...
A second theory currently doing the rounds online is a lot more harrowing. For those women, children, and people unable to put up a good fight (Tyrion) in next week's episode, they've been shunted down into the crypts of Winterfell. The theory goes that when the Night King does make his way into the grounds of Winterfell, that he's going to bring all of the dead Starks buried in the crypts... back to life. Yep, no-one is safe from ol' resurrection man.
Let's be honest, there was a hell of a lot of foreshadowing in this week's episode, saying that the crypts are going to be the safest place to be.
I really loved the subtle foreshadowing in #GoT last night.
No place in Winterfell is safer than the crypts.
All the women and children are in the crypts, because of how safe they are.
Nothing will happen to them down there.
In the crypts.
The safest place in Winterfell.

And don't forget that chilling scene of Arya running through the crypts in the trailer we saw a couple of months ago too. Could she have been running away from her dead father's headless corpse?

We'll all know the answer come this time next week.
Sooo... who is gonna break it to Jon and crew that the *crypt* is not exactly the safest place to be when you’ve got a literal Zombie King coming to knock down your door. ???#GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/tF8oloXRBm
