Look we want this thing to be announced just as much as you do, but while the male cast of the second season of HBO belter, True Detective seems to be set, the female lead continues to be somewhat harder to lock down.
At last check Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn were the male leads. An intriging mix of youth, movie star looks and undeniable talent. It also saw Vaughn apparently cast in the "villain" role, although we were told it was a little more complicated than that.
But there are four leads this time, and the fourth is female. Reports said Jessica Chastain was offered the part and turned it down. Then Mad Mad actress Elizabeth Moss seemed a lock until Rachel McAdams' name popped up last week.
The latest name is now Jessica Biel, who has apparently read for the part, or will read for the part alongside the lovely Malin Akerman, and Thor’s Jamie Alexander.
However, The Wrap are saying that Rosario Dawson is now the frontrunner to play a tough talking, heavy drinking cop who can more than hold her own with the lads.
Hurry up and start shooting for f**k sake. This is exhausting.
