Carmy, Sydney, Richie and the gang are returning for round three
Good news if you're a fan of shouty comedy programmes set in a busy restaurant kitchen mixed with emotional family drama and tales of personal growth.
'The Bear', which has been hailed by many as one of the finest TV shows in recent years, has been renewed for a third season.
Fans will get to see what happens with Carmy and Claire (after he gets released from the walk-in fridge) following the successful yet extremely stressful opening night of the restaurant that ended Season 2.
There are also (spoilers!) numerous loose ends to be tied up, including Marcus devastatingly missing numerous missed calls from his mother's nurse, and both Richie and Sydney coming into their own while under pressure.
FX's Nick Grad said: "'The Bear,’ which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon,” said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment. “We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable, and we and our partners at Hulu join fans in looking forward to the next chapter in the story of ‘The Bear.'"
The show has already clocked up numerous Emmy nominations for Season 1 - and it's likely that the acclaimed Season 2 will follow suit (if Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't win every award for that episode, everything is a lie.)
There's no word on when the third season might premiere, but watch this space.
And will Carmy ever recover from being locked in the walk-in fridge?
